Kurzbeschreibung
Proposal und Doku – das Proposal in Meta: WikiLibCon/.../Submission/Tactical_nearbyism_in_Maynooth

Taktischer Nearbyismus in Maynooth[Bearbeiten]

Notizen / Presentation notes[Bearbeiten]

Massages I/II
To explain, to present, to promote, to teach, to use or hack the Wikiverse ... just use tools, methods and communities of the Wikiverse.

1lib1nearby[Bearbeiten]

  • Digitale Methode für Datenpflege und das multilinguale Weltwissen der nahen Umgebung.[1]
1Lib1Nearby is a digital method of using Wikidata to explore the local area and maintain open cultural data everywhere. Try d:Special:Nearby.
Try https://wikidata-graphs.herokuapp.com/map/battles-near-me too!

Die Datenlaube: Wikisource + Wikidata with Commons[Bearbeiten]

  • Open Citizen Science: Wir erschließen Die Gartenlaube in Wikisource mittels offener Medadaten seit 2019 in Wikidata.
We are cataloging approx. 20.000 articles + illustrations of the german illustrated magazine s:Die Gartenlaube (1853-1899 in german Wikisource so far) in Wikidata. Since 1853 (2019).

Digital Placemaking[Bearbeiten]

DatenlaubeJam[Bearbeiten]

  • Weekly: 1h online conference every Thuesday morning – speaking, planing und reflecting open cultural data, methods, projects and new ideas with members of the Dresden Historical Society based on Die Datenlaube/ Wikiverse methods.
Hackathon ist immer (dienstags)[2]

Wikiversity pages[Bearbeiten]

After successful completion of the elective module, students are able to cooperate autonomously, especially in wiki media portals, to realise their own projects and to advise. They are able to curate open databases manually and with (semi)-automatic methods. In particular, the connection between resources from the library context and their profitable use in an open and collaboratively created encyclopaedia enables the students to advocate for open science and society. The students reflect on their work and effects in the Wikiverse.

Denken wie Die Datenlaube[Bearbeiten]

„DieDatenlaube“
Thinking ... about strategies
  • Offene Wissenschaft funktioniert, wenn wir pragmatisch Werkzeuge, die offen zur Verfügung stehen, für die Forschung nutzen, für Wissenschaftskommunikation und Transfer.[3]
Open science works when we pragmatically use tools that are openly available for research, for science communication and transfer.
  • Open Citizen Science: Just Citizen Science done right![4]
  • Linked Open Storytelling: d:Q66631860
  • Hackathon ist immer.[5]
Hackathon is allways.

Massages II/II
It's not all about content. It's all about linking things too (with interwiki links). And to make sense of it.[6]

Tactical Nearbyism in Maynooth[Bearbeiten]

What I'd like to be asked for and like to discuss in Maynooth and beyond

  • d:Wikidata:1Lib1Nearby, see 1Lib1Nearby, a digital method of using Wikidata to explore the local area and maintain open cultural data everywhere
  • Wikisource + Wikidata (+Commons), see the german citizen science project DieDatenlaube
  • Wikiversity*ies: a potentially multilingual OER tool for upcomming WikiLibCons and their outcomes
  • Tactical Nearbyism in the Wikiverse as a mode of digital w:en:Placemaking
  • DatenlaubeJam, a weekly online session in Dresden promoting Open Cultural Data Hackability of librarians with citizen scientists and local historians – some of them (than becomimg) wikimedians

A conceptual idea

  • Imagine Tactical Nearbyism as Digital Placemaking: Nearby open data maintainance + local (and potentially international, see above) linked open data link relations for human interaction in real life AND/OR in digital (educational) spaces (Wikiversity et al.) ...
